A registered nurse for over 30 years, Colin has been a key member of the RCN Scotland team for many years, most recently as Associate Director for Pay, Terms and Conditions. Colin has also worked across the UK and spent time working as an Associate Director in RCN Northern Ireland just before the pandemic as well as operationally leading the RCN UK Pay Programme supporting the RCN’s Fair Pay for Nursing campaign.
Associate Director (Employment Relations)
Norman has responsibility for ensuring the RCN in Scotland has the capacity and capability to provide comprehensive employment relations services including standard representation, regulatory representation and legal advice.
Associate Director (Nursing, Policy & Professional Practice)
Eileen is responsible for leading the professional ‘College’ arm of the RCN which includes the learning & development, knowledge & research and policy teams within RCN Scotland.
Departments & Managers
Communications and Public Affairs Manager
Carol heads up the communications & public affairs team, which comprises parliamentary and media relations and member communications and positions the RCN as the voice of nursing for Scotland.
Amy heads up the policy team which – as a part of professional practice – influences Scottish health and social care policy on behalf of nurses and patients.
Knowledge & Research Manager
Sian manages the knowledge and research team which – as a part of professional practice – is responsible for RCN Scotland’s provision of information and analysis, and providing RCN library and information services.
Professional Learning & Development Lead
Alison leads the learning and development team which – as a part of professional practice – supports our members to improve their patient care and trains our reps.
Susan is in charge of RCN Scotland’s facilities and finances.
