This online programme for aspiring leaders within the nursing profession explores how you lead yourself and others while navigating the increasing demands, competing priorities and the growing expectations of the registered nurse role.

    Myth Busting the Menopause (for Registered Nurses, Midwives, Health Care Support Workers and Nursing Students)

    This morning seminar aims to: Increase knowledge of the Menopause Basics, raise awareness of the red flags associated with the menopause, and improve understand around the risks and benefits of HRT. This event is hosted by RCN Wales but you do not need to be working in Wales to join us!

    RCN Wales Domestic Abuse Conference: Tackling Difficult Conversations

    This conference will explore the perceptions of surviving domestic abuse and the domestic abuse cycle, discuss how healthcare staff can be supported if exposed to domestic abuse, and consider the impact of domestic abuse on children, the promotion of trauma informed approaches to practice and demonstrate an example of best practice in supporting families. You do not need to be based in Wales to join us for this event.

    RCN Wales Political Leadership Programme

    Health and social care services in Wales are at the top of the political agenda. This programme explores how the political environment sets the context for the individual practitioner and the organisation. It will expand your knowledge of how health and social policy are shaped in Wales.

    Stroke seminar (for Registered Nurses, Health Care Support Workers and Nursing Students)

    This morning seminar aims to provide a refresher/ enhanced knowledge in relation to common causes and types of stroke, and the consequences of stroke, acute treatments for stroke, and stroke prevention. This event is hosted by RCN Wales but you do not need to be working in Wales to join us!

    This morning seminar aims to raise awareness of leadership in healthcare and highlights the skills to improve wellbeing in order to make a difference in the workplace. This event is hosted by RCN Wales but you do not need to be working in Wales to join us!

Watch online - Nursing Care is Colour Blind? Welsh Lessons from 2020

To mark Black History Month 2020, RCN Wales held a webinar to talk about the nature of race, racism and structural discrimination and inequality across the nursing profession. This event was originally held online on 12 October 2020.
