Publication code: 006035
The RCN recognises the importance and value of high quality practice-based learning environments for nursing and midwifery students. This publication will help students to think about how to get the most from their practice placements, explore what they can bring to the placement and what to expect in terms of learning experiences, and recognise their own responsibilities alongside those of higher education institutions and practice-based learning providers.

Some of our publications are also available in hard copy, but this may entail a small charge. For more information and to order a hard copy please call 0345 772 6100 and select option five. The line is open Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays) between 10am-4pm.

You can download all electronic publications from the RCN free of charge.
